Had to be the hardest decision to make.
Dont remind me. As a diehard Fuhr Fan in South Jersey, I got to enjoy the Oil take out the LOCAL Flyers in two cup finals and four cups in five years.
Then I come home on my BIRTHDAY and I turn on ESPN and I see Gretzky CRYING. Really hit home when the Kings ended the Oilers season that year in the playoffs. Mess did prop up the franchise and a HUGE trade headlined by the Same Jimmy Carson that came over in the Gretz deal led to one last cup for the Oil. Major pieces of that same Oilers team moved east and ended the Rangers cup drought so the trickle down from the Wayne deal was felt for many many years in all kinds of places.

Watching the news footage of the gretzky trade on youtube reminded me of when Ryan Smyth went, tears and all. Glad he made good on his promise to go back though lol.
