Pretty simple thread. State who is your favorite MMA fighter(s) and why.

Personally, I have to say that my 3 favorite fighters are

Diego "Nightmare" Sanchez
Dan "Hendo" Henderson
Jason "Mayhem" Miller

I like Diego because the guy is possibly the most intense fighter I've ever seen and he's got a true warrior's spirit. You can tell he eat, sleeps and breathes fighting, but he's also a very spiritual guy. It was sort of heartbreaking to see the beating that he just took, at the hands of BJ Penn. I can't say that I was really surprised that he lost considering BJ is one of the greatest fighters in any weight class in the history of the sport.

Hendo is just a quiet unassuming dude that will knock your freaking head off. He's a "man's man" as they say. He doesn't talk about a lot of trash, he just goes out and fights. I've always liked Hendo but my appreciation for him grew even more when he laid out Bisping (can't stand the guy). Henderson is also one of the greatest fighters of all time in my opinion. He's taken some losses, but that's what happens when you don't duck people and you fight the best fighters in the world.

Mayhem is just Mayhem. I don't see how anyone could not like the dude. He's entertaining as hell and he FIGHTS. He doesn't go out and prance around the ring, circling his opponent for the duration of the fight. His only UFC fight (vs. GSP) is one of my favorites just because of how Miller fought. He was pretty outmatched but he stuck in there with GSP for 3 rounds and proved that he could hang with the best. He lost the fight by decision, but he never gave up on that fight. Most casual MMA fans only know him for his Bully Beatdown show on MTV, but any real MMA fan knows of Mayhem's work and appreciates the type of fighter he is.

So who are your favorite fighters?

I like Urijah Faber, Because he is entertaining, Also he is all class. Same for Lil Evil Jens Pulver. I also like Frank Shamrock (even though he is retired) still that dude could trash talk and promote a fight with the best, Plus he could back it up, great fighter. I like Lyota Machida too hes also very entertaining and brings it everytime. Very good striking skills makes it very entertaining.

This is a no brainer

Hey Hector! So how bad do you think Hendo is going to destroy Jake Shields if they actually sign on for that fight?

Shields is biting off more than he can chew. He has good wrestling skills, but his skills aren't even close to Hendo's. He would get KTFO if he fought Hendo

I just got into watching MMA,UFC a few months ago by one of my best friends, But I don't follow it hardcore like some others do.
My favorite fighters are BJ Penn because he is THE best fighter in so many weight classes and has excellent work ethics and always seems in control no matter what.
My other favorite is Lyota Machida because he is relentless and has all the tools to become a legend in this sport. He is a beast in the ring.

My 3 favorite fighters are
Chuck Liddel
Tito Ortiz
Mac Danzig

I have always like the 1st 2 and I like Danzig because he is from Cleveland

Since you are new, you have some catching up to do...

1st, BJ Penn is a great fighter, probably the best 155 lb fighter, but he got smashed by GSP when he moved up in weight. Also, excellent work ethics? BJ's problem and biggest question has always been his work ethics, the guy lost some fights because he was out of shape.

2nd, how is Machida relentless? I've seen a lot of Machida fights, even ones outside of the UFC, and he has never been relentless. The guy has a great gameplan, which is hit and run. But the last time I saw Machida fight, he was getting beat by Shogun (my 2ne fav. fighter). So that part of your observation is wrong aswell.
