5. NORTHERN EXPOSURE, PART II

BY THE WAY

How cold was the Packers-Giants 1962 NFL Championship game? Glad you asked. On Dec. 30, 1962, at Yankee Stadium in The Bronx, it was 13 degrees. The temperature, combined with 40 mph winds, kept both passing games at bay. The Packers won, 16-7, in a game featuring only one offensive touchdown. The GiantsNew York Giants , in losing their fourth title game in five years, picked up their only score on a blocked punt recovered in the end zone.
