Baseball news

1876 - Ross Barnes, of the Chicago White Stockings (now the Chicago Cubs) hit the first ever National League homerun. It's worth noting that, just like most homeruns back then, this was an inside-the-park homer.

May 4, 2018 -LA Angels 1st baseman Albert Pujols collects his 3,000th MLB hit in a 5-0 win v Mariners in Seattle.

Along with Miggy doing it this year it’ll probably be a long time until we see someone else reach this milestone.

Been slacking here.

On this day in 1998, Mark McGwire hit three home runs against the Phillies. Tell me this wasn’t one of the most fun seasons in MLB history, regardless of what we have learned since then.
