The Traveling Viet Nam Wall

Archangel

Bench Warmer
I just watched 3500 bikers escort the truck carrying the Traveling Viet Nam Wall War Memorial roll past my house. A very emotional experience to see the procession roll by. I will be going to visit The Wall on Saturday, having lost 2 family members to the war in Viet Nam. If anyone here has someone in their family who's name is on The Wall, please let me know and I will be more than happy to rub their name for you and send it along to you. Here are a few pics of the procession I thought I'd share with all of you.

My uncle is on that wall.

Thats as real as it gets folks.
Josh, PM me your Uncle's name and I'll be more than happy to send you a rub from the wall if you want it.
I've seen the wall once before and once you start thinking of the faces behind all of the names it get's pretty real and the impact hits home. I don't know one person who has visited the wall in DC or a replica that hasn't left with tears in their eyes.

how is it set up? are the names in some type of order? like by name or by service? or what? I would LOVE it if you could get a name off for me....I will pm you asap..THANKS BSC!
