a student says he chose his name to be used as the Bears, also, latest is she has been sentenced to 15 days in jail (5 served already) and deportation back to Britain. Have to love the freedoms enjoyed in other countries

She is completely and utterly stupid. If they riot because their god is portrayed in a cartoon you bet they are gonna be pissed if you name a teddy bear after their god.

Laws based on religious beliefs are utter jokes. This isn't the kid who got canned in Singapore for littering (or spitting, whatever it was). If you believe that crap at worst it is a cultural faux pa, at best it is something to be ignored not politicized by the government. Situations like this why I am so happy we have some semblance of separation of church and state here.

What if it was just a random name they liked? What if they named it after Musin Muhammad? It's not like they named it after a religious figure intentionally, then set out to burn and disembowel it.

We should leave these types to thier on demise & not give them one red cent of US money. Lets see how long it would take before they either kill each other or are on thier knees begging for help. This part of the world has never been in peace & never will, there is nothing we as a country can do to ever change things in my opinion.
