Saying goodbye to my car.

About a year and a half ago I bought a pre-owned certified 05 Acura TL. That was way before I knew we were buying a house. I bought it because I drove over 20k+ miles per year for work and needed something nice to travel so much in. I took a different job this year and now work from home 90% of the time. The car is paid off and it's just sitting in my driveway depreciating. So, I've decided to trade it in for an 06 Ford Taurus with 16K miles on it and a large amount of $$$$$. It's both :( and . I can see some renovations in my future. Homes appreciate, cars don't.

I don't particularly like the Taurus but for the deal I got on an 06 car with such low mileage I couldn't pass it up. I'll have a nice car again someday.

Wheels is wheels. Nice cash upgrade.

Thanks Kelly. I didn't realize it but the car hardly lost value in the year and a half I had it and I got a good deal to begin with.

Also, I didn't think we would run through so much of our saving account after we moved in but we had a lot we needed to do. With the size of the check I'm getting I can put a little over half into the savings and the rest spend on the house.

I have had a few and never had a problem. My 93' Mustang was fast as sh*t,My 2 F250's are tanks and my Bronco II was a beast till the little lady forgot to check the oil over months and my Exploder I miss right now even though I'm rolling my V8 Grand Cherokee I'd rather have that. A car is a car until your talking Ferrari or Porche. Heck I still have my 89' Audi in my yard and it's not finished yet but runs great. Rob get a Harley for as much as you say you go somewhere :) $3500-5000 you can get a decent bike!

Well, the TL was my upgrade but now I need the money. Take a step back for a few years on the car and get osmething nicer later on. I've always been a "whatever gets me from point A to point B" kind of guy but I got some nice bonuses from work and wanted somethign nice for all the traveling I did. Now I don't travel and have no money. :(

Can I put an infant car seat on the bike? ;) No Harley for me. Going tomorrow night to make the trade.
