Rays win the AL East! The Yankees lost 8-4 to Boston, guaranteeing that no matter what Tampa Bay did today, the Rays would win their second division title in three years. Awesome job. Rays will face the Texas Rangers -- David Price vs. Cliff Lee in Game 1 at home.

& as a Yankee fan,it works out perfectly. Avoid Lee and the Rangers, face the Twins who NY has owned in the playoffs

I think NYY could still take the AL, and it will be easy for them to take the Twins out of the playoff picture (remember, Mauer, Nathan, and Morneau are either out or just coming back). The Rays will still beat up on Texas, but it won't be as easy.
