Desperate Times Call for Desperate Measures

MIAMI (AP) Chad Ochocinco has signed with the Miami Dolphins four days after being released by the New England Patriots.

The signing came after Ochocinco had a tryout with the Dolphins, who are thin at the position and dropping a lot of passes in offseason drills. He's likely to join the team for OTAs that began Monday and continue through Wednesday.

The 34-year-old Ochocinco, a Miami native, has made the Pro Bowl six times, most recently in 2009. He had only a minor role in his lone season with the Patriots, catching 15 passes for 276 yards.

The Dolphins traded Pro Bowl receiver Brandon Marshall to the Chicago Bears in March for two third-round draft picks, and didn't draft a receiver until the sixth round.

I guess desperation does drive you to take desperate measures. When are teams going to realize that he's more mouth and drama than receiver?

He has to be thrown to in order to produce. As the most veteran receiver in Miami, and only Hartline and Bess to compete with, he'll probably triple his 2011 #s 45-779-3 I can live with.

O-No has talent...we all know that...just depends on how well behaved he is.

Hope the 'Fins have a "we don't like your attitude" clause in the contract.
