Well I was on ebay and saw this plate and I figured I would offer $17.50. the price was listed at 39.99 OBO. I did not think I would get it for my offer price but I did! I am so excited to add this to the collection!

Very nice! I've learned over time it is always worth it putting an offer in and typing a nice message to the seller. This has helped me get a lot of good deals!

I also usually say I can make an immediate payment and that can help as well since a lot of the time the sellers need the money ASAP.
