Just a head's up, going to be pulling the plug on the site

I know this will really only affect Jason, but I don't see the need for paying hosting fees for the 3-4 posts a day the site sees.

I pretty much see everyone here on other boards or on Facebook anyway, so I figure it's time.

Sad to hear but understandable

For the record I'm still on the following sites all under "Krusin", maybe others can list where they haunt before this place goes away.

http://www.blowoutcards.com/forums/ (mostly use this site for reading, hardly ever post, I do like watching thier in store breaks during the week & have participated in a few, you really see a ton of product broken daily, just go to thier BlowoutTV link)

http://www.tradingcardcentral.com/forums/ (likely to be the next site to go bye bye)

http://hobbyinsider.net/forum/index.php (great site, Hockey heavy but lately expanding quickly to other sports)

http://freedomcardboard.com/forum/index.php (OK site, gone thru a bunch of upgrades lately, turned some off but most seem to be returning)

http://forums.cloutsnchara.com/index.php (another Heavy Hockey site from Canada, really geared to selling GB's & store merch. that can be gotten MUCH cheaper elsewhere)

I also check out Beckett rarely just to see if it's still around. If you guys are at any of these places under another name be sure to send me a PM from the site so I'll know who you are.

Thanks for the ride TCG, we'll always have the memories & I hope to see you all eslewhere.

Sad to see this go but I assume we all knew this day couldn't be far away.

I post at www.thecardsite.com. Actually I also help out there with some computer stuff. It is similar to this site, not real big traffic-wise.

I'm also on Blowout and probably a few other sites but I visit them about as much as I visit the dentist :)

Thanks come from me for the great days on this site over the past years. The "boom" years were a great stress-reliever but like many others, my card purchasing days are few and far between now thus reducing my time spent on the site. I tend to browse on blowout but rarely post. Not on Facebook.
I wish everyone well and hope to see familiar names on other boards. Thanks to Zeeck for the site, and to everyone who helped me out with cards/breaks/group buys along the way.
Au revoir all.

figured it would happen soon . I hope TCC doesn't go anywhere i do gb on that site . Looks like alot of sites are slow lately . Just card box prices are so high and with UD sucking and Topps not sure on how to make good cards other than the staple items make people not bust as much unless they have big money . Some good times here just the trading side of it never really got going.

Interesting point from Ern about prices. Huge worldwide economic issues -falling incomes, job losses for many but many sports ( top level) employees have rising income. Card companies still have to pay top dollar for the top guys therefore, and we take the hit on box pricing with resales for majority of players being poor. Hence fewer breaks. Then factor in UD not having NFL licence, Topps producing "blah" mainly and Panini producing many buy-now-get card in two years products, and people just walk away. Personally I have bought a few non-sports again and intend to get the signed jersey/ball products for Xmas (wife permitting).

Loved the good years though.

I havent posted in a long while but still checked this place out. Sad day but it was fun and was one of my first message boards I started with when I got back into collecting. Well Collectors Planet was but I remember the move. My collecting isnt as much as it used to be. I dont bust much anymore or buy sports cards nowhere near as much. As others its just became blah. Ive started to collect some non sports stuff lately of my favorite actors & shows. So thank you for the many of hours spent and a great online experience with great people you will all be missed.

Dang! Hope to see you guys on other sites every once in a while. I still post a little on TCC and blowout. Take it easy guys!
