yeah, so this guy is a tool...
based on what ive seen of him, he hasnt been portrayed as a 'normal' guy...im not sure if everyone is just being a hater, but the stuff ive heard is just crazy...
1. His folks are loaded, if they werent im guessing he wouldnt be playing golf at fancy courses, be at the National Championship game as a "fan," or be at the NBA Finals...i have no clue what his dad did to get money, but apparently they have buckets of it to burn, so why be a dick and START charging for signings....
2. He just killed his draft stock...talent is great to have in a one man sport...you can be a total dick and still be a pro golfer, or pro tennis player, but look at the Riley Cooper stuff and hes just a WR...this is your QB, some young punk that thinks he can beat the system...those who disagree with this id like to know why you dont think this is bad for him...2 words...HONEY BADGER
3. A five figure deal today may kill a 7 figure deal in a year...not that it REALLY killed him, but if Jake Locker leaves for the 2010 Draft, hes likely top 2 pick with no 'structure' to max deal, instead he waits a year, loses tons of money and falls a bit on the draft ladder...
4. Who is the "Ebay Autograph Broker from the Southeast?"
i dont see how A&M can get around this stuff if this IS what is happening...plus who pays $80k for a helmet signed by 2 LIVING guys...if they play him and the NCAA 'bans' him they lose those wins...PLUS A&M will likely lose scholarships and be put on some sort of probation...
this thing is going to get ugly, and in a few years people will forget about all this because no one is going to give a crap about who this guy was...
