How To Get Autographs In Person: It Requires A Little Strategic Planning

If you want to know how to get autographs in person it really isn't as hard as you think it is. All that is required is a little bit of strategic planning on your part. Not only this, but you must not be afraid to take action. In this article I'm going to help give you a few guiding points which should more than assist you in getting an autograph from your favorite athlete in person.

First you need to know what the hard way is and what the easy way is.

There are two ways to go about getting an autograph in person, the first thing you can do is try to get it at the stadium where the team may be playing. This may seem simple at first, but can actually be quite difficult. The second way to do this would be to try and track down what particular hotel a team might be staying at. When you're able to know what hotel a team is staying it is far easier to gain access this way then try to get an autograph at the stadium.

Second you need to be one of the first people to get to the stadium if you choose this route.

If you decide to go the harder route and you want to get the autograph at the stadium, then you need to be ahead of the crowd. You want to make sure you get to the stadium as soon as it opens. Usually if you do this you will be able to catch the athlete of your choice either coming from or going into the locker rooms to prepare for the game. Usually you'll catch them off guard and they may be more willing to give you their autograph.

Lastly you can try to find out where the team's parking lot is.

You will not want to hang out where everybody else does to engage in activities such as tailgating, this is usually an unfruitful way to get an autograph in person. What you want to do is find out where the team's parking lot is. This is where all of their cars are parked along with the coaches. You shouldn't have any problem getting access to this area, but I would say you’d have a better chance of getting an autograph in person this way after a victory rather than a loss.

I hope these points are able to assist you in getting an autograph in person. Remember what I said, it really isn't as hard as you think. But you must be willing to be in that tiny minority that is willing to go the extra mile to get it. Some athletes’ autographs are very valuable, and will appreciate in value over time. Many athletes know this and some may be reluctant to give out their autograph.
