Hopefully Josh Gordon Will Get His Life Together

So, Josh Gordon was supposed to be on the field week 5 for the first time since December 2014. However, it was just reported that he is entering rehab. So much talent, hopefully he will get his life together.

That is certainly true. It must be a management/ownership issue. I think chronic problems like this start at the top.

I will admit that I have never have never struggled with addiction...and I see it at work all the time. But, I still don't understand how someone can throw potential away. Not even this kind of potential...but any kind so easily. I just don't get it.

Speaking as a case manager/facilitator at a drug rehab center, addiction is insidious. Patients tell me all the time that they know what their addiction has cost them, that it has killed friends and killing them. They want to stop but for different reasons just can not.

I'd imagine it's one of those things you have to experience to really understand it. I have patients who have had those struggles...so I have seen it. Hopefully he can get his life together.
