Help Need Work or a Job

Help!! Just got let go from the place I have been driving a truck for. I was there nine years. I own my own truck (just bought a new one last year). We use to have 4 trucks last few years we have been down to two. Since the first of this year barely enough work to keep us both busy. So today they said they will only call when they really need me. I looked at the report that tells the work for the next month or so. Guess what there is not enough work for one truck. So if there is anybody (or knows someone) in the Hartford CT area that is in the need of a class b 24ft box truck owner/operator for local hauling let me know.
Thank you.
BOB

sorry to hear that bob

if you were closer to alaska, they are always looking for private movers/carriers. we have 12 local companies that just move stuff from one end of town to the other, they don't even pick up at the docks, just stuff from local retailers going from store to store. plus the moving companies up here are HOT right now with the military moving people back on base

No offense meant but isn't there a cap to how much you can be paid to drive a truck around, regardless of experience? I don't think people are being paid 100K to drive a truck just because they have been doing it for 30 years when someone who has done it for a year would do it for 25k. I just don't think that someone with a lot of experience has THAT much of an edge on the less experienced drivers.

Cap??? There is no cap drivers make any where from $10.00 to $25.00 per hour. I think UPS drivers are around $25.00 if not more.
