grammar nazi at it again

alright its a regular sighting in the local newspapers, something is ALWAYS spelled incorrectly, on saturday they listed the INJRY report which someone should have caught since INJRY isnt a word....

so with all this college paperwork crap ive got to fill out, i think ive found another one, this time on a government form...now i dont think it was a question about not having the room for it because it occupies a full line...

i did pick up a thing to write for the campus paper at orientation, they pay for that sort of thing, and if i can get paid to write a column like Steve Rosenbloom wrote in the Chicago Tribune before he changed from making fun of sports mishaps and went to writing about 'classic moments in poker,' id be happy :drool:

i truly think english is. now, i cant say anything for chinese, because i have no knowledge of it, but japanese is constant. there are different combinations yes, but everything has a constant sound. *its hard to explain over the internet*

english has SO many rules...and half the time, they only apply to certain areas (i before e, except after c; an is used only before words beginning with a vowel, but also words beginning with H's [an hour] etc etc)
not to mention with words like rough, though, cough, through, etc etc. not to mention words like foul, fowl and there, their and whole, hole, etc etc
oh well, thats just my personal opinion

I tried to learn Thai once. That ended quickly. Voice fluctuations are what makes the word. If you fluctuate high on a word, it means mom. If you fluctuate down on the same word, it means cow. Boy wouldn't that be a great icebreaker!
