Going to make a website to sell cards.

My web design skills are getting rusty, so I'm going use that as an excuse to work on a site where I sell my cards that are too crappy for COMC. I know this is probably a bad idea from a business perspective, but don't really care. I already have hosting for other sites so it is only going to cost me my time.

So....I am wondering what things you like about sites that sell singles.

My thoughts:
*Easy to search (sportlots.com is a great example of searching done horribly)
*Allow users to create alerts
*Minimal graphics, few scans for fast page loads
*Lots of oversize/jumbo cards (uncirculated, 1976-77 NBA, graded)

no clue - i have one, and only get "serious offers" about 6 times a year;
although i have almost 14K hits ???

I say text (so i can read quick);
with links to scans.

I guess I should specify, I'm going to have a shopping cart and be able to take payments right off the site. Embedded images but most cards will not be scanned.

Here is where I'm at. I'm not looking to sell yet, going wait until I have a good size database before I upload more inventory. Also need to add custom code because scans are not going to be so central to the site, although I definitely will have some scans.

Feedback would really be appreciated.
