Giants news...good and bad.

Good news. Jesse Armstead signed a one day contract and officially retired as a Giant. Always loved Jesse. He played very hard and with a ton of intensity and was the 207th pick in the draft that year. Really good article about his career on the Giants website.

Bad news. Jim Finn had shoulder surgery and will miss the entire season. His lead blocking skills will be missed. Now the Giants have an entirely new backfield for 2007. Should be interesting to see who steps up into that spot.

Arnstead is a very friendly guy. He was really good with the fans. I honestly thought he retired a couple of years ago after he spent the year on IR with Carolina

Armstead has not played for four years but was waiting to officially retire as a Giant. He got his wish!
