@K.C._Royals!

Do you have any favorites, or more rare, out of the ordinary finds over the years? I know every collection has a story, would love to hear more about yours!!

Yeah, what's NOT pictured are all my 3.75" G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero vintage stuff from 1982-1994... there's way too much of that to display so it is all safely stored away.

Do you have stuff from when you were growing up, or did you start putting this together as an adult?? I am just blown away by how many figures you have, and also the quality....everything looks brand new!

All my vintage Joes were from my childhood and also where I started picking up stuff in the late 90s and early 00s when EBay first started.

All the other stuff in the pictured is, like, from 2007 to 2022 when I really got into the hobby of collecting.

Also, my heavy metal CD & vinyl collection is also pretty nuts, too.

And of course there are cards... I'd put money on me having one of the best Kansas City Royals card collections east of the Mississippi.

EDIT: Oh, back to the original post topic!
I will definitely get a LaMelo Ball SLU if they make one!

That is pretty amazing, you have probably one of the best action figure collections anywhere!! Thanks so much for sharing, Quinton, that is a fabulous grouping and a great looking display! Gotta be a ton of fun!

I had a huge vinyl collection at one time as well, a little bit of everything from the 1920s 78 RPM records to LPs of the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s, but sold everything about 10 years ago. That is kind of how collecting has gone for me, I have amassed a ton of stuff, sold it all, then collected again, but different stuff, then sold again. Its been cool, but I never collected on your level, man, that is great!

The He-Man figures brought me right back to my childhood…I even had one of the storage boxes that you have displayed on the shelf. Love the castle gray skull on top too!

Did you ever have the slime pit set up…was one of my favorites as a kid!

Thanks for sharing these awesome photos!

WOW! The slime pit, forgot about that! I had Castle Grayskull as well, man, lots of hours spent playing with that! If I think back, I can remember the smell of that slime from the pit! Here's a photo of the original box, fascinated kids in an ad (probably from the 1985 Sears Christmas Catalogue!) and the pit in action!

And here is Castle Grayskull, open and shut....these are selling for over $400 on ebay at the moment! Seems He-Man is recession-proof...

Not gonna lie....that was a COOL toy! The 80s were a golden age for toys, so glad I got to be a part of all that!

Inasmuch as the animation of the 80s definitely shows its age, my wife and I still enjoy finding the classic shows on youtube. We showed our children the classic intro to both He-Man and She-Ra the other day:

My wife loved She-Ra, though I did not watch the show, always felt like I was cheating on my best pal He-Man!!

@K.C._Royals! not sure if I saw right, but thought I picked a few of these figures out in your collection, favorites of mine in the 80s!

They moved when you squeezed their knees together, and also came with the mini comic book too....toys from that era were (and still are!) so cool!

I also loved these figures and love this movie too! 1989 was a neat year for a lot of reasons! The packaging on all of these was great, and I loved the Bat-a-rang on his belt that actually worked!

Joker was cool too since he squirted water! Fun era, cool toys, great memories!

I had a lot of those Kenner Super Powers figures and all those '89 Toy Biz Batman figures... I think the reason I collect toys now is to try to revisit those halcyon days of my youth and escape Clown World Present Year.

Halcyon days is a highly underused, albeit completely awesome, expression!!

I never had any of these figures, but the commercials were in a series and in 1985 I thought they were super cool!
