Hey all, wanted to share some favorite Bears memorabilia!

I grew up in LaGrange outside of Chicago, and my Grandfather was a news editor for the Chicago Tribune. My intro to the Bears was the 1985 Super Season! So many conversations we had that year centered around the Bears, who were front page headlines so much of the time! That set me up for a lifetime as a Bears fanatic!

Here is our Bears collection, with items from our Wall of Fame!

2 customs, the card signed by Mike Singletary and the 8x10 by Fridge Perry!

Kevin Butler was always my favorite player, given the fact that we share a first name! The 86 Topps was my first football card, and I got Kevin to sign last year! The photo is from when we met in 2007!

@grapler135s and @LarryG ....thank you guys so much! This has been a very fun lifelong collection for me, on and off over the years!

These are two favorites of mine, copies of the letters between the Defensive team and George Halas in 1981, asking that the defensive coaches be retained. Coach Halas' reply is really cool too!

I also received a handwritten letter in 2017 from George's daughter, Bears owner Virginia McCaskey! A real treasure!

We also have a Fighting Illini Wall of Fame in our garage....my wife and I met, got engaged, and were married all at U of I!

The Bears connection here is the fact that George Halas played football at U of I, and picked orange and blue when he founded the Bears because of the Fighting Illini's colors!

@DaSoxFan any more awesome Bears autographs or items you want to share? Would be fun to see some of your cool collection!

Two favorite photos of mine, meeting Steve McMichael and Dan Hampton in the Chgo area in 2006 before we moved to Southern Illinois!

Dan and Steve are best friends, and I am so sad that Steve is so ill, in the advanced stages of ALS. Dan has done a ton of fundraising for him, and has personally built ramps to help Steve get in and out of his home in his motorized wheelchair.

I also met Gary Fencik in 2007, he was very friendly, and is a great signer in person and through the mail as well!!

Jarrett Payton was a very good football player in his own right, and has done a ton for the community.

I also found some cool Bears logo art online. I love to print this stuff off, use the laminator at work, and arrange on our Wall of Fame!
