Breaking News from NASCAR: Dale Jr to Retire at end of 2017

Well, guess we all saw this coming. Terrible crash last year, terrible racing this year.

At least we won't be hearing "he'll never be his daddy" anymore after this season...

I, for one, will not miss the guy...

I'm not surprised by this at all...frankly I was a little surprised to see him return this year. I figured after all his concussion issues in 2016...he'd call it a career then.

I kind of always liked the guy. I at least admired his attempts to not be his dad and step up from the shadow. Even if he was not that successful at it.

I, for one, will not miss the guy...

Is he really going to be gone though? I know he won't be driving...but doesn't he own a team and isn't he basically the face of the sport. I think we will still see a lot of him it just won't be behind the steering wheel.

he will be racing at least two Xfinity races next year for the team he owns. He's like a bad rash that just keeps coming back no matter what you do.. lol
