This got my attention

I was just kicking back and everything started to shake. They say it was a 5.6 earthquake down by San Jose. We are on such solid rock we don't get the full effect but my brother called and he said their place really got shaken and they are over in Marin. I suppose we will have some after shocks and that will keep me up all night thinking about it.

Yah, I was playing World of WArcraft too when it happened, and in my 10 man raid, half of us were screaming during the earthquake.

Saw some pics on the news this morning... Lots of stuff to be cleaned up this morning :shifty:

I don't like earthquakes at all. Had too darn many of them when I lived in LA and environs :pale:

Let me re-iterate that - I was saying hold on, there's an earthquake - don't attack anything if you don't want to die.

hehe. I am supposed to heals peeps.

The temblor, which happened on the Calaveras Fault, hit at 8:04 p.m., lasted about 30 seconds, and measured 5.6 on the magnitude scale, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

ah ya big babies!!! i don't get nervous unless it's over 7 and i sleep downstairs so if it's bigger than 7, i have to worry about the living room joining me. i don't even wake up if it's under 7.

i'd like to say they are different up here than they are down there, but i guess the difference is the damage that can be caused. all of our houses and buildings have to be up to an earthquake code (tall buildings have to be able to wiggle so the steel if put on floaters so the building sways instead of cracks steel). plus we don't have near the amount of buildings that you guys have down there. they learned in 64 the concrete cracks so everything is pavement up here
