*acquired from a trade/waivers

Berkman can actually hurt that team as now he has to be a LF/RF player, and therefore a defensive liability. I don't see him earning that $8 million next year, but the Cardinals have proven me wrong before.

you are sadly mistaken if you think berkman will be a liability in the OF ;)

and this is your baseball mod

Berkman just isn't a defensive player in the OF, he is more of a 1B/DH type player now. It will work OK for St. Louis only because the pitching staff is a ground ball type pitching. Almost any other team, and Berkman as an OF will be a big failure.

Now back to your regularly scheduled Christmas specials...

nothing personal son..and i do love all your postings on trades and such, i get alot of it on here before anywhere else....you do a fine job , thats for sure and i appreciate it, far as player knowledge though ??????????

I'm sorry St. Louis fans, but you just signed the most hated man in Detroit for the past couple years.

Mr. Gerald "I can't hit the ball to save my life" Laird (you better hope Yadier plays 162 games this year)

Things have been moving very rapidly as of yesterday. A few more big impact FA's have gone off the board (Ordonez, Martin, Wood, Guerrier) so you better hope your team is doing something TODAY or else it isn't looking good for them.
