One day I was in the rear of the Molson center visiting a friend who had a shop across the street who do I see leaving the parking area Mr.Jean Beliveau what was real funny was I had visited the hobby shop earlier in the day and picked up a box of O-Pee-Chee I remembered pulling a Beliveau card so I frantically went through the cards looking for it hoping I would not miss my chance luckily for me he was talking to a few people so I excused myself and asked him if he could sign my card....we talked for a bit and he signed it more than willingly a real class act and a great Hab's legend that made my day for certain......here is a pic...comments always welcomed.....

I wish I could meet and recieve an autograph of someone I admired to sign a card for me. Thanks for sharing , I would love to travel to canada and attend a Canadien's game.2009, The last I've heard anything about him was how he recieved honorary captain of Canada's 2010 Men's Olympic Hockey Team.

I have a rule against doing that personally, but I tell ya it ain't easy.

A few years back my family was on a trip to the Soo (Sault St. Marie) to go to a Monkeys' concert. We got up to our rooms and I went to get some ice. Mickey was walking toward me and I said "Hi", but I left him alone. What I shoulda done was tell him my gr's daughter, my gf, and my gf's mom were just down the hall and they'd love to see him....but I didn't.

Epic FAIL lol

My gf's daughter caught up with him later and he signed some stuff for her, but I regret not asking him. I didn't 'cause it's a rule of mine to leave people be...but it wasn't easy lol

A local Packer (Chester Marcol) enjoys signing for people...but again, I don't bother him. It helps that I don't actually own a card of his to sign, but my gf did have him sign his book for me.

I know...I suck lol

This was so sweet! Go Matt Kemp !

There are certain ones I don't even attempt .......but ones that don't mind and like conversing with fans I ask on occasion and I have met many through the years ....I have been very fortunate I have had many backstage passes and private performances with stars that signed some very unique items for me....as well as Sports Stars ........Keep in mind I live in Montreal and in my previous line of work met some very famous people........

Yeah, I'm just speaking for myself. It comes from me being an intensely private person, which would make me a horrible person to get autos from if I was famous. I'd be one of "those" people...who rarely signs stuff for fans. It's just in my nature. I'd probably do it, but not for an hour like some people do. It must get crazy at times with people always asking, you know? So I look at it from the perspective of "if I was that person, what would I think about someone like me asking me for autos everywhere I go". Some people enjoy it (like Marcol), others don't.

There's certainly something special when a player can just be open and level with someone. More and more often nowadays you see athletes that are just so full of themselves that they look down on the spectators and fans that allowed for them to be as successful as they are.

That's a great story and I'm happy you had what sounds like a great experience!
