BCS standings - 10/21/07

god i hate the bcs

we didnt have a good game but i dont see how we got jumped by two teams without losing
LSU didnt drop two full spots when they lost, we are number four like we should be, in nearly every poll except for the bcs, i dont understand that at all

You guys are still rolling!! You have a brutal 4-game stretch ahead. If you win those, make your reservations. Heck, if you go 3-1 in those, you still deserve consideration.

they do have their work cut out for them, with oregon, usc, cal, ucla and arizona(those in-state rivalries are never easy) they defintely deserve a shot if they can survive all that

The computer polls are killing Oklahoma. I don't believe they recognize margin of victory, just who you've played. The fact that Miami is terrible doesn't help any.
OK still plays 3 decent teams plus another in the Conf. Champ.

If you win out, you probably play for it all. But you better hope a few teams lose.

yeah we have needed teams to lose all year
i still cant believe we lost that damn game colorado, your right though, we do have some decent teams left and probably kansas who could be undefeated in the big 12 title game
i really hope we get a chance to play in the title game

I think you should at least be ahead of Oregon. They went from 10 to 5. LSU only dropped a couple of spots b/c they lost to a ranked team on the road in triple OT. OU lost to an unranked team. However the BCS is still a bunch of crap.

what has hurt OU is their schedule. Same thing that has hurt USC.

at least OU has beaten 2 quality teams, where USC's best win was against Nebraska.

LSU has beaten 4 highly ranked teams already

lost in OT on the road to a top 10 team

and their next game will be on the road against a top 25 team.

so you can see why LSU is ranked where they are and OU is ranked where they are.

Good luck and all... but I hope you know that as an Auburn fan I'm contractually obligated to root for Oklahoma to get screwed by the BCS.;)
But I'm not bitter:)

i didnt say we should be ahead of lsu, i just dont see how we got jumped by two teams without losing, the bcs is utter stupidity

because Iowa State sucks so bad it drained you two spots for playing them.

Exactly right. It's not Oklahoma's fault since it's a conference game, but it still hurts in the computers.

I think Ohio St, LSU, and Oklahoma are in the catbird's seat. I can't see ASU winning out with their remaining schedule. Boston College will probably have to beat V'Tech twice, plus they have two other tough road games.

Ohio St is probably in the most favorable position because the Big-10 is down and they have no title game to worry about. But none of their remaining 4 games are cupcakes.
With all due respect to Alabama, LSU should win out and get a rematch with UF in Atlanta. I don't see LSU getting beat again with Flynn healthy and Doucet back.

But the way the season has played out, teams like USC and even Florida still have hope.

at this point to early to worry, especially since you know one of two teams currently ahead of you will lose as they have yet to face each other.
